The 3M™ VHB™ 4905, 4910, 4915, and 4918 are a family of clear, double-sided, pressure-sensitive acrylic foam tapes designed for permanent, high-strength bonding. They feature a general-purpose acrylic adhesive on a closed-cell acrylic foam carrier, offering exceptional clarity, conformability, and durability for joining transparent materials or where an invisible bond is desired.
· Core Construction: Double-sided acrylic adhesive with a conformable acrylic foam core.
· Appearance: Highly transparent (clear) with excellent resistance to yellowing under UV exposure.
· Liner: Polyethylene (PE) film liner for easy handling and die-cutting.
· Key Characteristics:
o Bonds to high surface energy (HSE) substrates like metals, glass, polycarbonate, and acrylic.
o Provides immediate handling strength with no cure time required.
o Acts as a seal against water, moisture, and many chemicals.
o Offers cushioning, damping, and impact resistance.
o Eliminates the need for rivets, screws, and welding
