Performance Features of 3M™ VHB™ Tape GPH-160GF
· Basic Specs: Gray, 1.6 mm (62 mil) thick double-sided acrylic foam tape with a closed-cell, conformable acrylic foam core and red PE film liner.
· Extreme Temperature Resistance:
o Short-term (up to 4 hours): 230°C (450°F)3M
o Long-term (continuous): 150°C (300°F)
o Ideal for bonding before powder coating or liquid painting (paint bake cycles).
· High Bond Strength:
o 90° peel adhesion (stainless steel): 34 N/cm (19 lb/in) (ASTM D3330, 72h @ 23°C)
o High initial tack for immediate handling strength.
· Substrate Compatibility:
o Bonds reliably to metals (steel, aluminum), ABS, PC, powder-coated surfaces, painted materials, and most medium/high surface-energy substrates.
· Design & Assembly Advantages:
o Replaces rivets, screws, welding, and liquid adhesives.
